When I was young I used to play this as well as many friends in
west java Indonesia.
Katapel is the name of the weapon, used for hunting animals (birds). The Y-shaped upper part (right and left) together with a rubber-belt at the right end to the left of the skin, then the center was given a rock, pulled tight, and then directed to the target and released.
